Since 2007, La Bamba Preschool has offered a home-based high-quality Spanish immersion program for children 2-5 years old.

Our inclusive program includes children of diverse backgrounds who are native and non-native English and/or Spanish speakers since we have designed a curriculum for successful language acquisition regardless of current skill level. With a group size never exceeding twelve and a low student-teacher ratio of 6:1, we provide personal attention, guidance and balance in all aspects of development and an enriching curriculum that supports their interests.

Ms. Corey has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. A minor in Psychology. She is a California credentialed teacher and a Program Director Permit from California. She has taught from Pre-K to high school, but her heart lies in teaching early childhood education.

Ms. Corey has worked in the San Francisco Unified School District bilingual programs, teaching at Cesar Chavez Elementary and Leonard R. Flynn Elementary. With over 17 years of experience teaching English immersion and Spanish immersion throughout Mexico and California, she understands the benefits of linguistics for brain development.

La Bamba was created because of Ms. Corey's need for a high quality bilingual preschool program for her daughter. With the help and support of San Francisco families, who value diversity and fun learning, Ms. Corey began La Bamba Preschool in 2007!
